DIYA CA PRESENTS

South Asian Youth Arts Workshop

A year-long educational & generative workshop on contemporary South Asian art and creative writing. Students will learn about South Asian artists and their works/lives, as well as get the support & space to create.

These workshops inspire South Asian youth to engage in the arts, build authentic connections with their peers, and have fun.

Each session revolves around a theme (Joy, Dreams, Identity: Me, and Identity: We) paired with creative writing and art exercises (Mixed Media Art, Poetry, Flash Fiction, etc.) The year-end goal is for students to share some of their works as part of an art portfolio showcase and open mic event.

Curated primarily for 7-12 grades.
